For our fourth month of online talks (thanks so much to everyone who keeps coming along, what an awesome little community we’re building here) it’s time to go into how I use Lightroom to import and organise my RAW files, as well as how I export for web, social and print use.
We will go through every button I press, what I use to store my files and how I structure a backup system that works for me, as well as loads more below:
Setting up a sensible file structure on your main hard drives
Optimising Lightroom to import using the best quality for your camera
How to import RAW files into Lightroom to keep things tidy + organised
Re-naming folders for easily locating and keywords (if that’s your thing)
What is a collection and how to set them up for projects
How to rate and set colour labels for easier
How to locate missing files (what is that grey question mark?)
Moving files from one drive to another when space is running out!
Setting up export presets for all use-cases from social to print
Where to store all exported files and how to access them on the move
Plus some other random bits I think about as we go along…
There will of course be an open floor for questions throughout (depending on the number of questions, I may answer them all at the end) - please note this is for Adobe Lightroom and may or may not work for similar/other applications of your choice.
Join me for roughly 90 minutes and block out your diary - I will send a Zoom link 7 days before but will also record the session and keep it live for 14 days if you’re unable to attend last-minute.
